Tanning Beds
Let's discuss tanning beds in more detail; we have our Silver (regular), Gold (medium), and Platinum (super) lay-downs that are different strengths. We also have stand-up booths in Gold and Platinum. The first choice you need to make is whether you would like to lay down or stand up. See below for more details and photos of all our beds here at Oceanside.
Lay Down Tanning Bed
Benefit of lay down beds; if you feel like relaxing, as if you are on the beach then this would be the best option for you. Sometimes people believe lay down beds can cause an uneven tan, but this is just a myth. With bulbs surrounding you at every angle, you are sure to leave with a beautiful, even, glowing tan. Oceanside Tanning also has all beds equipped with amazing facials that will help increase your tan. All beds are different so come on in and have one of our friendly staff members give you a tour and explain the benefits of our lay-downs.
Stand Up Tanning Bed
The benefit of the stand up booths is you get a more even tan around your whole body since your skin is not pressed against the acrylic. You will get a nice even tan all around as you would in any bed but you will not need to move around. This is also a great option for clients who get a little claustrophobic in the lay down beds.
The downside of the stand up tan is you need to, well, stand up.
The next choice is the power of your bed...
There are a few options at Oceanside Tanning for our beds. We have our SILVER Beds which are our Regular Powered - both run for a max of 20 Minutes. Then there is our GOLD Beds which are our Medium Powered; one is a laydown for a max of 15 Minutes and the other is a 12 Minute Stand Up. Our PLATINUM Beds are considered our Powerful Super/Turbo Beds. There are two Lay-downs for a maximum of 12 minutes and a Stand Up for 10 Minutes maximum. Please have our Staff members refer you to the bed that best suits your skin.

SolarForce 648 ~Platinum Super Bed
The new SolarForce™ 648 mega bed, with the S2 Advanced Technology tanning system you will get an amazing tan. The total surround 160 watt Wolff® system lamps gives you the tanning power that will give you the immediate bronze colour. The advanced body cooling system built in the SolarForce 648 tanning bed continuously blows cool air over the body and face for an enjoyable, comfortable tanning experience with many adjustments and built in speakers.

Sun Capsule VHR - Euro Series ~ Gold Stand Up
The Sun Capsule Euro unit features 40, 160 watt VHR lamps and an 18 MPH fan for comfortable no sweat tanning. VHR is synonymous with High Performance Tanning. You will emerge from the stand up with a deep, even tan.

Sundome XL48 Speed System ~ Platinum Stand Up
The SunDome® XL48 vertical tanning booth is shaped to place you at the center of tanning intensity, so you are evenly showered with bronzing, all-over tanning power. The unique design of the SunDome creates a chimney-like effect, to create a cool, comfortable tanning environment.
This booth’s unique "XL" design, gives you a quick 10-minute tan with the maximum amount of interior space. Great for all you dance-tanners out there.
Sun Star 332 ~ Silver Lay Downs
The proven workhorse of the industry strikes again! With 32 100 watt Wolff® system lamps, three optional Xtreme Reflection™ facials, a body cooling system and special maintenance features, this tanning bed has quickly become the favorite of tanners and we have TWO of them!

Star Power 548 ~ Platinum Lay Down
The Star Power is a 12-minute Ultra Ruva bed containing 48, 160-watt lamps which includes side lamps, shoulder lamps, and 4 high pressure facial lamps. There is a button that allows you to turn off the face or shoulder lamps if desired. This is a larger bed and with the added side and shoulder lamps, it ensures an fast, dark, and even
tan. Like the Turbo Vertical and Solaris beds, the Ultra Ruva lamps in this bed reflect more UVA rays so that you get more bronze colour.

The Solaris bed is a 15 Minute bed containing 42 lamps all around. 120 & 100 Watts Ruva lmaps with high pressure facial lamps. The all-metal Solaris 442 tanning bed features Wolff® system lamps for a beautiful, longer-lasting golden tan.
